Terms of Service

The plain-English terms that apply when your building company uses SiteStride. Last updated 14 August 2026.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms form the agreement between SiteStride ("we", "us") and the business or person who creates an account ("you"). If you set up an account on behalf of a building company, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for that company. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms.

2. The service

SiteStride is web-based construction management software for builders, trade contractors and construction companies — estimating, scheduling, job costing, site records, safety documents, timesheets and client portals. We improve and change the software over time. We won't remove a core capability you rely on without reasonable notice.

3. Accounts and access

You're responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for the actions of users you invite, and for keeping sign-in credentials secure. Every plan includes unlimited users, so you never need to share a login — give each person who needs access their own account. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

4. Subscriptions, billing and trials

Paid plans are billed in advance in Australian dollars on a recurring basis until cancelled. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may include or exclude GST as stated there. Free trials convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. You can cancel at any time and your plan runs until the end of the current billing period; we don't provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless required by law. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before a price change affecting your plan.

5. Your data stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you put into SiteStride — jobs, estimates, schedules, photos, documents and client records. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process, back up and display that content so the service works for you and the people you invite. You can export schedules, cost data, estimates and site records to PDF or CSV at any time while your account is active.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use SiteStride to break the law, upload malware, attempt to access another company's data, probe or load-test our systems without written permission, resell the service, or upload content you don't have the right to store. We may suspend an account that puts the platform or other customers' data at risk, and we'll tell you why.

7. Third-party services

Some features rely on third parties — payment processing, email delivery, mapping and weather data, and AI-assisted features such as document scanning and estimating suggestions. Those providers have their own terms. AI-generated output is a starting point, not professional advice: check it before you rely on it in a quote, program or safety document.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep SiteStride available around the clock, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside Australian business hours where practical. Support is provided by email during Australian business days.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from decisions you make using the software. SiteStride is a record-keeping and planning tool — it doesn't replace your obligations as a builder under contract, building or WHS law.

10. Ending the agreement

You can cancel from your billing settings at any time. We can end or suspend the agreement if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if you don't pay. After cancellation we keep your data available for export for 30 days, then delete it from active systems, with backups cycling out afterwards.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law change. If a change materially affects you, we'll notify account owners by email or in-app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and both sides submit to the courts of that state. Questions about these terms: support@sitestride.net.
